Dear Reader,
Check back periodically for updates on the fate of the Delta Queen.
Thank you for all your kind remarks and for sharing with me the journey of the Delta Queen’s 2008 season. I hope we will have new adventures to share together one day very soon.

I sincerely hope that, even though it’s the end of the season and the Delta Queen is docked in New Orleans, people don’t forget about her and give up on contacting senators and congress. They can still act to save her, either in a lame-duck session, before Christmas, or we can try again next year. But, we can’t put her out of our minds and just accept defeat!

Bill, almost 2 weeks have passed since the rest of the remaining crew and I were forced from our home, I just wanted another chance to thank you with all my heart for all you have done, and i’m sure are still doing for this just cause. Just wanted to let you know my bags will remain packed for our return to the Legendary Delta Queen, May God Bless You until we sail again, Tim Fisher, Bartender, Delta Queen..

Since our return from our fall cruise from Nashville to Pittsburg, I’ve had an ongoing sadness thinking of what I call “MY” beloved DQ. It just does not seem possible that we cannot book a cruise for next year.
AND, Bill, I appreciate all you and other crew members did to keep the DQ afloat, and YOU to give us a website that makes us feel back “at home”.
And, lastly, I keep hoping that a replacement for my lost ‘08 thermal mug will somehow materialize in the mail after all the giftshop stuff shakes down…..but as days go by, I know I have to be content with holding in memory my lucky, happy days aboard the gracious Delta Queen.
Blessings to you and Laura.
